And it continued......
Keith jumped out to kick lead scoring 2 runs in the bottom of the 1st with an RBI double from JOHN JAY JOHN JAY and scored with a single from Matt Holliday. With this rough inning from Silva, that would be it for his day. The top of the 3rd would be another story however; it started with three consecutive single by Morgan, Hanigan and Pujols, with additional singles by Chipper Jones and Jimmy Edmonds. 4 runs would score in the frame. Fish added another run in the top of the 7th with a double from Hanigan and an RBI single from Pujols. Keith quickly tied the game in the bottom of the 8th with a base clearing double by the Big Panda. However, playing inspired because he was jeered like McNabb when drafted, hit the go ahead solo jack in the top of the 9th. Ryan Madson finished the game for a save. Fish wins 6-5.

With a matchup of two of the pitchers in the game, it was going to be a difficult task for both offenses. Keith again struck quickly in the bottom of the 1st with 5 singles from Crawford, Holliday, Paulino, Sanchez and Tejada, scoring two runs. Cory Hart hit a solo jack in the bottom of the 2nd to give Keith a 3-0 lead. Dan Uggla would again come up clutch, hit a 3-run home run in the top of the 3rd to tie the game. Fish would take the lead for good in the top of the 8th with consecutive singles from Rasmus and Uggla, and a base clearing double from Edmonds. A couple more insurance runs were scored by Fish in the top of the 9th. Fish wins 7-3.

The lead would be secure until the top of the 6th, when Jim Edmonds doubled and scored on a Montero base hit. Marmol would come on to finish the game for his second save. Fish wins 3-1

Jose Reyes batting over 0.400? Clutch HRs by Uggla off Halladay? Ryan Franklin a long reliever?
ReplyDeleteIs the realism of PTP wavering here? Then again, who am I to say, sitting with a 3-0, 0.75 ERA R.A.Dickey on my squad...
Oh well.
Regression to the mean, my friends....
ReplyDeleteThe cards don't lie...wait except for Steven Strasburg's card. Dat thing lies like Brett Favre.
My guys got skills. Reyes does seem like he is especially gay, and I don't mean happy. Here is a stat that will blow you mind - Jim Edmonds has 6 hits on the season, 5 are doubles. Ryan Hanigan will be leading the league in batting average by the end of the year, mark it down, February 7.
ReplyDeleteWhy hasn't anyone talked about the fact that Keith has his sweatpants pulled up in that picture?
ReplyDeleteI just assumed there was some minor flooding that Keith was dealing with. His team certainly appears to be taking on water...hey-oooooh!
ReplyDelete5 doubles on the year for Edmonds? Impressive. If Hennigans wins the batting title, it will only be because Jason Heyward is walked a record # of times this season. In 60 PA, Heyward already has 16 walks. Ridiculous.
Keith looks so happy to play in that photo, had to be the "before." Would have been great to see the "after."
ReplyDeleteIs Hannigans the place that has those cheese sticks as appetizers?
ReplyDeleteand Jay Bruce Bruce will win the batting title?
Ummmm....
ReplyDeleteFirst of all, that series freakin sucked. Torto, I unfortunately now find my record at 3-9 (1-2 v Spence, 1-2 v Goldy, 1-2 v Torto and 0-3 v Fish). Fish and Spencer, if our scoresheets could make their way to my inbox I would happily check out my embarassing statistics to see if any player of mine is Leaderboard quality.
The photo is an interesting one. Clearly me, and as much as I'd like to deny wearing that terrible ensemble, anyone who's ever seen me put down more than 4 Bud Lights knows I'm perfectly capable of rocking a silly Budwieser/Badger t-shirt with running pants rolled up to the knees(in the summer - that would look truly tasteless in the winter months). However, this was not a recent photo. In fact, I don't even recognize the artwork hanging on the walls behind me - not my house. Perplexing. Best be careful throwing up silly old photos on the Blog Site Fish - I've got some of you that would keep you out of office fo sho'.
I'll be .500 before long - good enough for a #4 seed in this league.
The photo is from Double Staxx's place. I've got more fun "PTP Poses", just waiting for the right time.
